1. The Service

Retreev ("we", "us") operates the photo-finding platform at retreev.app. By using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Retreev Does

You upload a selfie, provide a Google Drive folder URL containing event photos, and receive a private gallery of photos in which you appear.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to consent to biometric processing independently. If you are between 13 and 17, your parent or legal guardian must consent on your behalf. Do not use the Service if you are under 13.

By using the Service, you confirm that:

• The selfie you upload depicts you, or you have explicit permission from the person depicted
• You have lawful access to the Google Drive folder you provide
• You are not violating any applicable law

4. Consent to Biometric Processing

Your face is sensitive data. Uploading a selfie and initiating a scan constitutes your explicit consent to:

• Process your selfie to identify you in photos
• Compare your facial data against photos in the folder you provide
• Verify that your selfie shows a real, present person

Your consent is freely given, specific to the scan you initiate, and informed by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw it at any time — see Section 8.

5. Your Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Upload a selfie of someone else without their explicit permission
• Upload photos of minors without verifiable parental or guardian consent
• Use the Service to identify or track others without their knowledge
• Provide Google Drive folder URLs you do not have lawful access to
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to abuse the platform

6. Intellectual Property

We retain ownership of the Retreev platform, code, and design. You retain ownership of any photos you upload. We do not claim ownership of photos in Drive folders you access.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that you will be matched in every photo where you appear — accuracy depends on photo quality, lighting, angle, and folder size.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed any amount paid by you to us.

Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8. Consent Withdrawal

To withdraw consent and request deletion of your facial data, email privacy@retreev.app. We will halt any pending processing and permanently delete your biometric data. Results already delivered to your device cannot be recalled.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the website and by email if you have provided one. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
